M.A. thesis at the Department of Translation on the investigating process types in “Zuqaq Al-medaq” and their English realization

The Department of Translation at the College of Arts held a viva for a master’s thesis entitled “INVESTIGATING PROCESS TYPES IN “ZUQAQ AL-MEDAQ” AND THEIR ENGLISH REALIZATION,” on December 07, 2021 in the Hall of the College of Quran Sciences.The thesis submitted by the student (Ahmed Salem Abdullah) in the Department of Translation, dealt with investigating process types in Zuqaq Al-medaq and their English realization. As this study is an attempt to investigate the types of verb from a systematic functional perspective in both languages ​​(English and Arabic).The study provided an overview of the system of transmutation of verbs and their types in the Arabic language and how to perceive them in the English language. It also gives a general explanation of Halliday’s Systematic Functional Grammar approach.This study aims to investigate the six types of verbs in the Arabic language and their awareness in the English language, and to shed light on the types of verbs in the structures of the English and Arabic languages. They failed to understand the types of verbs in the English language.The viva committee was chaired by Prof. Luqman Abdel Karim Nasser, with the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Nihad Ahmed and Assistant Professor Dr. Najat Abdel Rahman Hassan, and under the supervision and membership of Prof. Hala Khaled Negm.
