Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Ahmadi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Arts, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Ali Afin, the College of Arts, represented by the Department of Philosophy and the Continuing Education Unit, held a scientific symposium entitled (Criticism of Western Concentration – A Reading of Contemporary Philosophical Thought); on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, in the College of Arts Hall. Objectives of the symposium:The symposium sheds light on an important issue, namely, Western concentration and its treatment through contemporary philosophical thought. Since ancient times, the idea of concentration has dominated the Western world, and this was represented by domination of all kinds over the countries of the world. The West views itself as the center and the rest of the countries and peoples are the parties; So he can stretch on the sides as well as impose his will and his ideas and everything that can achieve himself at the expense of others’ selves, and perhaps we are the ones who represent a large part of others who achieve the West itself through obliterating ourselves.Participants:- Asst.
