A training course in the Turkish Language Department on the basic rules for writing letters in the Ottoman language in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit

Under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Ali Muhammad Afin, the Faculty of Arts held on Sunday, July 3, 2022, represented by the Turkish Language Department and in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, a training course for professors, staff and students of the Faculty of Arts on (Basic rules for writing letters in the Ottoman language) with the presence of the scientific assistant professor Dr. Harith Hazem Ayoub and a number of teachers, staff and students..The course, which was lectured by the teacher, Dr. (Shaima Imad Yahya), head of the Turkish language department, aimed at introducing the Ottoman language, which is called the idiomatically the old Turkish language due to the predominance of the Turkish language, and it is the official language that was approved by the state (the Ottoman Caliphate) along with the Arabic language. It is a mixed language that combines a huge amount of Arabic, Turkish and Persian vocabulary, and is written in an Arabic alphabet with some modifications to the shapes of some letters, and some rules that govern the reading of those letters in different ways in different places. It is not possible for a Turkish translator to be able to translate the Ottoman language simply by learning the Arabic or Ottoman alphabet, as he must be familiar with many Arabic and Persian grammar and vocabulary that are used in the Ottoman language.The preparatory committee for this session consisted of:1.
