The study, presented by Mariam Ayad Fahmi, aimed at clarifying Iraq’s status and importance in the poetry of Sattar Abdulla, as his poetry deserves to be examined through a comprehensive academic study and as long as Iraq is the main cornerstone of his poetry, thus, this topic was chosen. The poet’s homeland of , Iraq, lives in his heart and inspires his poetry, and as a result of this love, he diagnoses the negatives and announces the positives. Therefore, we find him criticizing some political decisions or positions and the things that occur in it, as well as immortalizing the places and the heritage. Thus, Iraq represented the poetic universe for the poet.
