An MA thesis at the College of Arts on ” Describing the derivatives in Ahmed Jarallah’s poetry: A Morpho-Syntactic study of the predicate.”

An MA thesis entitled” “Describing the derivatives in Ahmed Jarallah’s poetry: A Morpho-Syntactic study of the predicate.” has been examined at the Arabic Department, College of Arts, University of Mosul. The viva session has been held at Ibn Al-Athir Hall, on Thursday 15th of May, 2024.
The thesis by Naziq Muhammed Hasan Rasho tackled the derivatives as predicates in Ahmed Jarallah’s poetry. Descriptive derivatives could be an attribute, predicate, or adverb. It is evident that the derivatives as predicates occupied a large space of Jarallah’s seven poetic books, most of which on prose poems.
The study concludes
that the derivatives are of different structures. It also concludes that Jarallah, at the level of theory and practice, was brilliant at specifying the accurate position of the derivative, whether of overt or covert denotation or embedded in figurative styles.
The viva session was presided by Prof. Dr. Maan Yahya of University of Mosul, College of Arts and the membership of
Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Khalif Al-Hayani of University of Mosul, College of Arts.
Asst.Prof. Dr. Jassim Taha Ahmed of University of Mosul, College of Education.
Membership and supervision of
Asst. Prof. Dr. Layla Muhammad Ali of University of Mosul, College of Arts.
