A doctoral thesis at the College of Arts on (Cultural capital and its role in promoting social organization – a field study in the city of Mosul).

he Department of Sociology at the College of Arts at the University of Mosul discussed the doctoral thesis entitled (Cultural Capital and its Role in Strengthening Social Organization – A Field Study in the City of Mosul), on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Part of it was attended by a number of college professors and postgraduate students. The thesis, submitted by Dalia Tariq Abdel Fattah, addressed the topic of cultural capital, which means the knowledge, education, and intellectual skills of the members of society. As well as addressing its role in supporting and strengthening formal and informal social organization as it represents one of the most important factors in stabilizing the organization, enhancing its balance, and achieving its goals. The human being is the active, main, and most important element in the organization, with the culture he carries that is in the interest of any organization.
The discussion committee was chaired by:
Professor Dr. Khalil Muhammad Hussein from the College of Arts / University of Mosul.
And the membership of:
Professor Dr. Hassan Jassim Rashid from the College of Arts / University of Mosul.
And Professor Dr. Hani Ahmed Younis from the College of Information / Iraqi University.
