A Professor from the Dept. of Translation was chosen and Dispatched as a Member of a Ministerial Committee
Professor Dr. Yasir Younis Abdulwahid, a faculty member in the Translation Department of our college, has been nominated and dispatched to the University of Basrah as a member of a ministerial committee. The committee’s task is to consider the establishment of a doctoral program in Translation Studies. The committee is composed of the following members:
1. Professor Dr. Mahdi Falih Khashaan, University of Mustansiriyah – College of Arts (Chairman)
2. Professor Dr. Omar Ahmed Shihab, University of Tikrit – College of Arts (Member)
3. Professor Dr. Yasir Younis Abdulwahid, University of Mosul – College of Arts (Member)
4. Assistant Professor Dr. Ako Subhi Ghazali, University of Kirkuk – College of Al-Imam Al-Adham (Member)
The committee met with the Dean of the College of Arts at the University of Basrah and the faculty members of the Translation Department. During their visit, they reviewed the necessary documents for establishing the doctoral program in the desired specialization. The visit also included an inspection of classrooms, the library, language laboratories, and other logistical matters.
