A higher diploma thesis equivalent to a Master’s degree in the field of community peace on: (Educational Values and Their Relationship to the Culture of Societal Peace- a Field Study in the City of Mosul)

The Department of Sociology at the College of Arts at Mosul University discussed the higher diploma thesis equivalent to a master’s degree in the field of societal peace, entitled (Educational Values and their Relationship to the Culture of Societal Peace – a Field Study in the City of Mosul), on Wednesday, June 26th, 2024. Part of it was attended by a number of college professors and postgraduate students.
The thesis, submitted by Waseem Enad Abdullah, addressed the topic of educational values and their relationship to the culture of societal peace, as these values included in the curricula and educational programs that the student acquires from school are among the most important components of strengthening the foundations of societal peace in Iraqi society in the short and long term. These values, which vary between social, religious, and economic values, fundamentally influence the formation of a person’s personality. The researcher chose a sample of middle school students in the city of Mosul, because of this age group immediate and future importance to the issue of societal peace and as this age group go through an important stage of forming personality, awareness and tendencies towards many issues.
