A Scientific Trip of the Department of History to Alqosh Town
In order to watch closely the historical edifices of Alqosh town and its heritage culture, the Department of History at the College of Arts organized a scientific tour to Alqosh town on Sunday, October 27, 2024. Students from the second-year students and some professors of the department went under the supervision of the head of the department, Prof. Dr. Mahmud Saleh Sa’id. The delegation visited Alqosh Heritage Museum, which was opened in 2013, the Prophet Nahum and his sister Sara’s tomb. The head of the department, on behalf of the deanship, extended thanks to the curator of the museum for hospitality and warm reception. The curator presented to the delegation a copy of the Syriac calendar.
