As part of the Biography Forum activities, a delegation from the College of Arts participated in a scientific seminar held on January 3, 2025, organized by Dar Al-Rasul Al-A’zam under the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, in collaboration with the Department of Historical Studies at Bayt al-Hikma. The seminar was titled: “Our Prophet (PBUH) – Image and Biography: Readings in Western Orientalists’ Writings.”

The delegation from the College of Arts presented a lecture on “The Biography of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in Crusade Sources” by Professor Dr. Nasser Abdul-Razzaq Al-Mulla Jassem, a faculty member in the History Department and head of the Orientalism Unit in the College. The delegation also included Professor Dr. Musab Hamadi Najm and Professor Dr. Saad Abdul-Aziz Mussalat.

Following extensive and constructive discussions, the seminar concluded with a set of recommendations, including the importance of studying all aspects of Orientalism and addressing Orientalist writings in a manner that reflects the true human message of Islam, which was carried by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It was emphasized that this can be achieved through continuous scientific collaboration between academic and cultural institutions, such as organizing joint seminars and conferences.
