Academic Activity in the English Department – Faculty Participation in Supervising and Examining a PhD Dissertation at the University of Baghdad
Under the supervision and committee membership of Prof. Dr. Wafa Abdul Latif Abdul Aali, the PhD candidate Zainab Laith Abdul Jabbar defended her dissertation entitled: “Medical Poetry as a Model of Healing: A Study of Selected Physician-Poets.” The defense took place in the Martyr Kazem Al-Jawadi Hall at the English Department, College of Arts / University of Baghdad, on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. An in-depth discussion of the dissertation was held over the course of five hours, after which the candidate was awarded a PhD degree with distinction.
