Workshop on Crisis Management and Ways to Confront It
On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, the Department of Sociology held a dialogue workshop on crisis management and ways to confront crises through a set of planned and proactive or remedial measures aimed at mitigating their effects on individuals and society, and accelerating the recovery process.
The speakers, Prof. Dr. Hamdan Ramadan Mohammed and Prof. Dr. Khalil Mohammed Hussein, addressed the topics of awareness and the coordination of efforts between official state institutions and civil society organizations. They also emphasized the importance of building the capacities of these institutions to engage in proactive or remedial actions after a crisis occurs.
The workshop was attended by several faculty members of the Department of Sociology and postgraduate students.
