Master’s Thesis on “Artificial Intelligence and Its Role in Developing the Education System in Iraq: A Field Study from the Perspective of Supervisors in the Directorate of Education in Mosul District”

The Department of Sociology at the College of Arts held a discussion session on the master’s thesis titled “Artificial Intelligence and Its Role in Developing the Education System in Iraq: A Field Study from the Perspective of Supervisors in the Directorate of Education in Mosul District” on Monday, April 28, 2025. The session was attended in part by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatim Fahd Hanno, the Head of the Department, Dr. Firas Abbas Fadel, along with a number of faculty members.

The thesis, submitted by Ali Mohammed Taha, a student in the Department of Sociology, explored the concept of artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications in enhancing curricula, supporting teachers in delivering information, and conducting scientific workshops on how to use AI in education.

The study aims to investigate how AI can be integrated and utilized within schools under the Directorate of Education in the Mosul District.
