Faculty Members from the Department of Translation Participate in the “Future Pathways in Translation and Linguistics” Conference at Al-Noor University
Several faculty members from the Department of Translation at the College of Arts participated in the International Conference on Future Pathways in Translation and Linguistics, held at Al-Noor University on the morning of Saturday, May 3, 2025, with the participation of researchers and academics from various Iraqi and international universities.
The Department of Translation was represented by:

Prof. Dr. Yasser Younis Abdulwahid
Prof. Dr. Mohammed Nihad Ahmed
The conference stood out by addressing a number of contemporary topics, most notably: the exploration of emotions in translation, the use of technology, and the role of artificial intelligence in the translation process—reflecting the evolving future of translation and linguistics studies.
The conference also included a roundtable session featuring a distinguished group of specialists and researchers in the field of translation. Among them was Asst. Prof. Dr. Maher Sami Hassan, a faculty member from the Department of Translation, who presented valuable academic insights on the state of translation in higher education and its technical and linguistic challenges.
