College of Arts

As part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between the colleges of the University of Mosul and state institutions—a goal strongly supported by the university’s presidency—Professor Dr. Hatim Fahd Al-Taie, Dean of the College of Arts, received Mr. Nour Al-Din Qablan, Advisor to the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, in his office on May 11, 2025.

During the meeting, both parties discussed methods and mechanisms for collaboration between the College of Arts and the Ministry of Labor. Following the meeting, a discussion session was held, during which Mr. Nour Al-Din Qablan gave a detailed presentation on the key departments within the ministry.

The session also included discussions on various topics related to the ministry’s social work activities and how to enhance them through cooperation with the Department of Sociology—particularly in the areas of academic field research conducted by students and faculty, including theses and dissertations, and how to benefit from their findings and recommendations.

The dialogue session was moderated by Prof. Dr. Shafiq Ibrahim Saleh and Prof. Dr. Hassan Jasem Rashid, and was attended by several faculty members and postgraduate students from the department.
