PhD Dissertation at the College of Arts on “Future Prospects of Healthy Quality of Life and its Implications for Increased Life Expectancy”

The Department of Sociology at the College of Arts discussed a PhD dissertation titled “Future Prospects of Healthy Quality of Life and its Implications for Increased Life Expectancy – A Field Study in Erbil City,” on Sunday, May 25, 2025. The discussion was attended by the Dean of the College of Arts, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahad Hanno, the Head of the Sociology Department, Professor Dr. Firas Abbas Fadhel, and a number of faculty members from the college.

The study, submitted by student Salam Abdul Rahman Mustafa in the Department of Sociology, addressed healthy quality of life as one of the key indicators influencing increased life expectancy among individuals. It relied on analyzing the health, psychological, and social aspects that contribute to improving lifestyle and promoting public health in our society.

The study aims to identify the reality of healthy life in our society and to clarify the relationship between healthy quality of life and increased life expectancy.
