College of Arts

The College of Arts at the University of Mosul recently hosted a delegation from the “Iraqi Youth Model United Nations,” led by Professor Haitham Amer Al-Shakarji. The delegation met with the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahad Al-Tai.

The Dean extended a cordial welcome to the visiting delegation and the international guests representing partner universities: Oxford University (United Kingdom), Sciences Po (France), and the University of Piraeus (Greece). Discussions during the meeting focused on strategies for enhancing academic collaboration and fostering scientific partnerships between the University of Mosul and these esteemed international institutions. The primary objective of these discussions was to bolster the university’s research and academic endeavors and to expand its presence within the global academic arena.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean formally invited the participating universities to contribute to the College of Arts’ forthcoming scientific conference, which will address the critical topics of Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Development.

The meeting was attended by several key faculty members, including Dr. Safwan Nadhim, Administrative Assistant; Professor Dr. Hala Khalid Najm, Head of the Translation Department; Dr. Salih Abdullah, Head of the English Language Department; Dr. Ahmed Salih, Head of the Arabic Language Department; and Dr. Noor Hisham Al-Attar, Director of the Cultural Relations Unit within the College.
