Master’s Thesis Discussed: “The Impact of Simplification on Information Density in English-Arabic Consecutive Interpreting”
On Sunday, June 22, 2025, the Translation Department at the College of Arts convened to discuss a Master’s thesis titled “The Impact of Simplification on Information Density in English-Arabic Consecutive Interpreting.” The discussion was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahad Al-Tai, the Head of the Department, Dr. Hala Khalid Najm, and several faculty members.
The thesis, submitted by student Mohammed Abdul Razzaq Daoud Sulaiman, aimed to test and evaluate the accuracy and effectiveness of simplification strategies employed by translation students.
