Scientific Workshop on “The Role of Leadership in Combating Administrative Corruption” at the University of Mosul

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and with the support of Professor Dr. Hatem Fahad Hanno, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Arts, organized a scientific workshop titled: “The Role of Leadership in Combating Administrative Corruption.”

The workshop highlighted the crucial role of leadership in combating corruption within both formal and informal institutions. It delved into various types of modern leadership, emphasized the key personal attributes necessary for leaders, and explored the impact of these traits on enhancing the efficiency and success of administrative work.

Furthermore, the workshop underscored that combating administrative corruption is a fundamental pillar for achieving sustainable development. This is accomplished by promoting transparency, accountability, and developing robust governance systems, all of which contribute to building effective institutions that serve society efficiently and equitably.

The workshop’s main topics were presented by:

  • Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdul Aziz Abdul Aziz
  • Assistant Professor Dr. Inas Mohammed Aziz, Women’s Affairs Liaison at the College of Arts.

The workshop fostered positive interaction among attendees, who discussed practical experiences and future visions for promoting integrity and transparency in administrative work. This aligns with the university’s goals of supporting conscious leadership, combating institutional corruption, and striving to achieve a university environment that keeps pace with the requirements of sustainable development.
