College of Arts Discusses High Diploma Thesis on Social Problems in High Schools

On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, the Department of Sociology at the College of Arts discussed a High Diploma thesis, equivalent to a master’s degree, titled “Social Problems in High Schools and Their Reflections on Community Peace: A Field Study in the City of Tal Afar.”
The discussion was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Al-Taie, the Head of the Department, Firas Abbas Fadhel, and several faculty members.
The study, submitted by Abdul Karim Taha Khidr Mohammed from the Department of Sociology, addressed the problems within high schools with the aim of finding appropriate solutions and reducing their impact on community peace.
The research aimed to shed light on the prevalence of social problems in schools and their effect on social harmony. It also analyzed the causes of these problems and provided practical solutions to reduce them and foster a healthy school environment.
