Master’s Thesis on “Body Image and Its Relationship to Choosing a Life Partner: A Field Study in the City of Mosul”
The Sociology Department at the College of Arts discussed a master’s thesis on the topic of “Body Image and Its Relationship to Choosing a Life Partner: A Field Study in the City of Mosul” on Sunday, August 17, 2025. The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Al-Tai, the Head of the Department, Dr. Firas Abbas Fadhel, and several faculty members attended the discussion.
The study, submitted by the student Furqan Nabil Saeed, explored the psychological, social, and health aspects of body image and its effect on the choice of a life partner.
The thesis aims to examine the impact of body image on how we perceive ourselves and others.
