Thesis Defense: New Social Phenomena and Their Impact on Social Security – A Field Study in the City of Mosul
On Monday, August 18, 2025, the Department of Sociology at the College of Arts held a master’s thesis defense on “New Social Phenomena and Their Impact on Social Security – A Field Study in the City of Mosul.” The event was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Al-Ta’i, the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Firas Abbas Fadhel, and several faculty members.
The thesis, submitted by student Shahbaa Abdul Rashid Al-Jumaily of the Department of Sociology, analyzed new social phenomena and their impact on social security.
The research aimed to find solutions for addressing negative new phenomena and promoting positive ones within the community.
