Master’s Thesis Defense: “Social, Environmental, and Psychological Issues in Selected Modern and Contemporary Children’s Poems”
The Department of English Language at the College of Arts held a master’s thesis defense for a study titled “Social, Environmental and Psychological Issues in Selected Modern and Contemporary Children’s Poems” on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. The defense was attended by Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Al-Taie, the Dean of the College, along with several faculty members.
The study, submitted by postgraduate student Rafida Rabah Ahmed Najim Al-Hasoud, analyzed a selection of modern and contemporary children’s poems by various poets.
The primary objective of the thesis was to highlight the significance of children’s literature, and poetry in particular, in the lives of children and society as a whole.
