Master’s Thesis Title: “The Paths of Grammarians in the Grammatical Analysis of Al-Nawawi’s Forty Hadith by Al-Ashmouni: Presentation and Study”

A thesis defense for “A Study of Al-Ashmouni’s Book: The Paths of Grammarians in the Grammatical Analysis of the Forty Hadith” was held by the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. The defense was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Al-Taie, the Head of the Department, Dr. Ahmed Saleh Younis, and a number of faculty members.

The study, submitted by postgraduate student Ammar Saud Hajji, presented the views of grammarians and outlined Al-Ashmouni’s methodology in his book Masalik Al-Nahwiyyin. The student organized the grammatical patterns and issues discussed in the book into tables.

The thesis aims to present Al-Ashmouni’s approach to the grammatical analysis of Al-Nawawi’s Forty Hadith and to clarify the grammatical issues based on the structural organization found in the works of grammarians.

The examining committee consisted of:
