College of Arts

On Sunday, September 14, 2025, the Department of History at the College of Arts discussed a master’s thesis on Abdullah Gül and his political role in Turkey until 2014. The discussion was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Al-Tai, the Head of the Department, Dr. Mahmoud Saleh Saeed, and a number of faculty members.

The study, submitted by student Jamila Aswad Ali Huwait, delved into the life and influence of Abdullah Gül on Turkish politics. The thesis aimed to examine his impact on Turkey’s domestic policy, including political, economic, and social reforms, as well as his influence on the country’s foreign policy.
