College of Arts

The Council of the College of Arts convened its second extended open session, held from September 14 to September 21, 2025, on Sunday, September 21, 2025. The session was presided over by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Hano Al-Tai, with all council members in attendance.

The council addressed several important topics on its agenda, most notably:

• Emphasizing the encouragement of faculty and researchers to publish in reputable international academic databases.
• Strengthening channels of academic cooperation with Arab and international universities.
• Engaging professors from esteemed universities in co-supervision of graduate students.
• Establishing regulations for attendance at master’s and doctoral thesis defenses, including prohibiting the presence of relatives, in compliance with directives from the Ministry and University Presidency.

The convening of this session underscores the council’s commitment to solidifying standards of academic quality and rigor and to elevating the standing of the College of Arts at both the local and international levels.
