Higher Diploma Thesis Defense: Examining the Role of NGOs in Nineveh Plain Peaceful Coexistence.
The Department of Sociology at the College of Arts defended a Higher Diploma thesis on the topic: “The Role of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Promoting Peaceful Coexistence Among the Components of the Nineveh Plain.”
The defense took place on Monday, September 29, 2025, with the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Al-Tai, in attendance for part of the session.
The study, submitted by candidate Hussein Zainal Ali in the Sociology Department, addressed how NGOs contribute to strengthening peaceful coexistence among the diverse populations of the Nineveh Plain.
The primary objective of this research is to study the mechanisms of peaceful coexistence among the components of the Nineveh Plain.
