Faculty Research from the University of Mosul’s Department of History Published in Prestigious International Journal

A collaborative research article authored by faculty members from the Department of History at the College of Arts, University of Mosul, has been published in the international peer-reviewed journal, Lex Localis – Journal of Local Self-Government, a reputable academic publication based in Slovenia.
The contributing scholars are: Professor Dr. Lama Abdul Aziz Mustafa, Professor Dr. Dhakir Mohieldin Abdullah, and Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Walid Abd.
The article, titled: “Diseases, Epidemics, Famines, and Their Impacts in the Mosuli Community Society in the 18th Century”
presents an in-depth historical analysis of the health and social dimensions of Mosul city during that period. Specifically, the study examines the profound and lasting consequences of these crises on the structure and composition of the local community.
This achievement represents a significant qualitative addition to the College of Arts’ record in international scholarly publishing. It further affirms the distinguished academic and research standing of its faculty members within global scientific forums.
