College of Arts Workshop on “Drugs and Their Impact on Youth” in Cooperation with University Presidency
Under the guidance of the University of Mosul Presidency, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Arts, in collaboration with the Continuing Education and Women’s Affairs Unit at the University Presidency, organized a workshop titled “Drugs: Causes and Ramifications for Youth.”
The workshop covered several topics, including the types of drugs, the history of their spread and evolution, and the most prominent psychological and social drivers that push young people toward addiction, in addition to the negative effects on the individual, family, and society.
The workshop lectures were delivered by:
- Professor Dr. Nadia Sabah Mahmoud
- Assistant Professor Dr. Inas Mohammed Aziz (Women’s Affairs Liaison Member)
- Assistant Professor Dr. Iman Abdul Wahhab Mousa
- Assistant Professor Dr. Hind Abdullah Ahmed
This event aligns with the University of Mosul’s efforts to enhance community awareness of the dangers of drugs and to instill the values of prevention and social responsibility among the youth demographic.
