University of Mosul Instructor Translates “Handbook of Communities of Practice” into Arabic
Dr. Aws Adel Abdulwahab, an instructor in the Department of Translation at the College of Arts – University of Mosul, has completed the translation of the book “Handbook of Communities of Practice in and Across Organizations,” recently published by the Social Learning Lab in Portugal. The book is considered an essential reference in the theory of Communities of Practice (CoP), one of the most prominent contemporary social learning theories. It provides practical mechanisms for applying this theory in large institutions with the aim of enhancing performance and developing collaborative work environments.
The translation aims to make this guide available to Arab readers, enabling them to benefit from its expertise in building effective communities of practice that contribute to raising the efficiency of institutional work.
Dr. Ali Kanaan Bashir participated in the linguistic review, and Mr. Ali Youssef Al-Baroudi designed the cover, which includes an image of the Central Library of the University of Mosul as a symbol of its academic revival.The book is available for free download and has also been translated into French, Korean, and Ukrainian.
