Sociology Department Hosts Seminar on Enhancing the Culture of Ethical Work
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hatem Fahd Hanno Al-Tai, Dean of the College of Arts, the Department of Sociology organized its academic seminar on Thursday, November 20, 2025. The seminar was titled:
“The Role of Sociology in Building a Culture of Ethical Work in Public and Private Institutions.”
Through multiple axes, the seminar discussed the increasing challenges associated with a weak culture of ethical work within institutions, and the urgent need to consolidate the values of integrity and responsibility. The speakers, who were professors from the department, presented their academic insights on the contributions of sociology to addressing these issues. They reviewed a number of solutions and intellectual approaches that can support the building of a work environment based on professional ethics and institutional discipline.
