College of Arts

Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Arts, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahad Al-Taie, the Department of Arabic Language, in cooperation with the Psychological Guidance Unit, organized an awareness seminar titled: “Drugs… A Weapon in the Hands of Your Enemies”.

The event took place on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, coinciding with the activities of the Iraqi Anti-Drug Week.

The seminar was held in the Activities Hall of the Arabic Language Department and was attended by a number of professors, staff, and students from the department. The following distinguished faculty members from the department participated in presenting the core themes:

• Professor Dr. Maani Yahya Mohammed

• Professor Dr. Fares Yassin Mohammed

• Assistant Professor Dr. Khalid Hazim Aidan

• Assistant Professor Dr. Shaiban Adeeb Ramadan

The seminar aimed to raise awareness about the danger of drugs and the means of prevention within the university environment and the wider community.
