College of Arts Celebrates French Teacher’s Day with French Consul in Nineveh
The College of Arts organized an official celebration on Thursday, December 4, 2025, to mark French Teacher’s Day. The event was attended by His Excellency the French Consul in Nineveh, Mr. Fabrice Doublechin, and the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Hano.
The celebration featured extensive discussions on enhancing prospects for academic and cultural cooperation, and ways to develop the French language curriculum and update teaching mechanisms. This aims to support students and motivate them toward creativity and excellence.
The ceremony also included honouring a group of outstanding French language students from schools in Nineveh Governorate, in appreciation of their efforts and achievements. Emphasis was placed on the university’s role in providing an integrated educational environment that includes modern curricula and advanced language laboratories.
The event highlighted the importance of establishing French language education as a cognitive and cultural pillar that opens broad horizons for students in their academic and research paths.
