Higher Diploma Thesis Defense: “The Mother’s Role in Entrenching Peace Values in Children”

The Department of Sociology at the College of Arts hosted the defense of a Higher Diploma thesis titled “The Mother’s Role in Entrenching Peace Values in Children (A Field Social Study)” on Sunday, December 7, 2025. The defense was partially attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Al-Tai, the Head of the Department, Dr. Firas Abbas Fadhel, and several faculty members.

The study, presented by the student Abeer Khalid Khalil Mustafa in the Sociology Department, aimed to highlight the mother’s role in instilling and rooting peace values in her children. It also sought to identify the most prominent challenges that impede her role and examine the importance of supporting institutions for the mother’s efforts.

The Study’s Objectives:

The primary goal of the research was to emphasize the significance of the mother’s role in cultivating and entrenching peace values, and to identify the main factors and challenges that obstruct her ability to fulfill this role.
