Master’s Thesis Defense: “Thematic Dominants in the Poetry of Faris Al-Rahawi
The Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts successfully hosted the defense of a Master’s thesis by student Safa Khalid Muhammad titled “Thematic Dominants in the Poetry of Faris Al-Rahawi” on Sunday, December 7, 2025, with attendance from the Dean and Department Head. The study meticulously analyzed the most influential and recurring themes—such as Love, Grief and Elegy, Alienation, Political and Social Poetry, and the use of Symbol and Myth—across Al-Rahawi’s poetic collections, with the core objective of revealing these dominants as crucial elements shaping his artistic vision and poetic experience.
