College of Arts

The Council of the College of Arts at the University of Mosul held its ninth ordinary session today, Monday, December 15, 2025, chaired by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Hano Al-Taie, with the attendance of all Council members.

During the meeting, the Council addressed several items on the agenda. Discussions were held on forming a crisis cell within the College to respond to emergencies, particularly student health issues and potential accidents. Emphasis was also placed on the importance of supporting and publishing scientific research in reputable international databases, especially Scopus repositories.

Furthermore, the Council discussed activating Student Guidance Committees in the academic departments to monitor students’ academic and psychological welfare. They also reviewed the preparation of departmental scientific plans, which include provisions for scholarly visits and voluntary activities, in addition to boosting international cooperation with other universities through electronic platforms and programs.

The session concluded with the Council underscoring the necessity of preparing all requirements for the upcoming postgraduate student examinations to ensure a smooth and successful examination process in compliance with approved academic standards.
