Master’s Thesis Defense: Qatari-Sudanese Relations (1995–2013)
The Department of History at the College of Arts successfully held a public defense for a Master’s thesis titled “Qatari-Sudanese Relations (1995–2013)” on Sunday, December 21, 2025.
The session was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Al-Tai, the Head of the History Department, Dr. Saleh Mahmoud Saeed, and several faculty members.
Scope and Objectives
The study, submitted by researcher Ali Raheel Shlash Al-Shammari, provides a comprehensive historical and political analysis of the bilateral ties between Qatar and Sudan. The research focuses on:

The evolution of diplomatic relations and significant political shifts.

Strategic economic support and developmental initiatives.

Cultural cooperation and exchange during the reign of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Father Emir of Qatar.
