College of Arts Council Holds 11th Open Session, Emphasizing Infrastructure and Scientific Research Support

The Council of the College of Arts held its 11th open session today for the period spanning December 29 to January 5, 2026. The meeting was chaired by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Hanno Al-Taie, and attended by all council members.

During the session, the Council discussed several items on its agenda aimed at developing the college’s academic and administrative environment. Key highlights included:

  • Infrastructure & Student Welfare: A focus on improving the infrastructure of student dormitories and providing essential services to ensure a suitable educational environment.

  • Research Collaboration: The Dean emphasized the importance of forming research teams across various scientific and humanitarian disciplines to support the advancement of scientific research and promote knowledge integration between departments.

  • Digital Transformation: The Dean stressed the need to accelerate the completion of the Student Information System (SIS) due to its vital role in organizing academic and administrative data.

  • Academic Excellence: A renewed commitment to publishing research in reputable Scopus-indexed journals to improve the college’s ranking and strengthen its academic presence at both regional and international levels.
