A scientific seminar for master’s students in the English Department as part of the Continuing Education Program.

The English Department held a scientific seminar for master’s students specializing in linguistics. The seminar, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Huda Al-Halawaji, a faculty member in the English Department and instructor of Linguistics for the 2024-2025 academic year, addressed topics related to changes in language across its various fields.

The seminar, titled “Language Change”, took place in the postgraduate hall of the English Department. The students participated with presentations on the following topics, which they selected and prepared under the direct supervision of Dr. Huda Al-Halawaji:

1. “The Influence of Borrowing in the Evolution of English: A Morphological Study”

7. “The Impact of Immigration and Language Change”

8. “Gender-Based Language Change”
Ismail Omar & Hazem Ibrahim

The seminar was attended by Professor Harith Hazim Ayoub, the Scientific Assistant, Assistant Professor Dr. Saleh Abdullah Abdulrahman, along with several faculty members of the English Department and postgraduate students.
