Professional Development Course on Digital Archiving and Sustainable Development Held at College of Arts

In a collaborative effort to modernize administrative workflows, the Department of French, in partnership with the Continuing Education Unit and the Sustainable Development Unit at the University of Mosul, organized a specialized development course titled “Digital Archiving in the Light of Sustainable Development” on January 8, 2026.

Focus and Objectives

The course was specifically designed for newly appointed staff, aligning with the university’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by reducing paper waste and improving institutional efficiency. The sessions focused on:

  • Institutional Support: The role of digital systems in protecting official documents and streamlining information retrieval.

  • Workflow Stages: A comprehensive look at the lifecycle of a digital document, from scanning to secure storage.

  • Advantages & Challenges: Analyzing the benefits of digital transformation while addressing the technical and security hurdles associated with electronic records.
