PhD dissertation at the Department of Sociology on the malformation of Morphology of the Mosul City and its repercussions on urban life after 2003The Department of Sociology at the College of Arts held a viva for a doctoral dissertation entitled “The Malformation of the City Morphology and its Repercussions on Urban Life: A Field Study of the City of Mosul after 2003,”in the presence of the Assistant President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Muneer Salem Taha along with the Assistant Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ali Mohammad, the Dean of the College of Arts on August 11, 2021 at Ibn Al-Atheer Hall.The dissertation submitted by the student (Nadia Sabah Mahmoud) in the Department of Sociology, aims at studying Mousili architecture historically and sociologically paying special attention to the malformation of morphology and the effect of its morphological malformation on the urban life in the Mosul city after 2003.The Results indicate that the morphological malformation of the city has had deep consequences on its urban life especially in terms of the variables of gender, social background and level of education.The viva’s committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Youssef Inad Zamil, University of Wasit, and the membership of Prof. Dr. Ali Ahmed Khader, Assistant Professor Dr. Zainab Muhammad Salih, University of Baghdad, Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Razzaq Mahmoud Ibrahim, University of Dohuk and Assistant Professor Dr. Hassan Jassem Rashid, and under the supervision and membership of Prof. Harith Hazem Ayoub
