To be a leading academic center in the production of sociological knowledge and the development of human capital capable of understanding and anticipating societal transformations, while providing innovative scientific solutions that contribute to sustainable development and enhance quality of life through an educational and research environment founded on innovation, digital transformation, and adherence to quality assurance standards.
Mission
The Department of Sociology is committed to fostering an academic environment that promotes knowledge production, develops scientific and research competencies, and prepares qualified specialists capable of analyzing social phenomena and utilizing research outcomes to support public policy and community development. This is achieved through modern academic programs, applied research, effective partnerships, and the ethical integration of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in teaching and scientific research.
Strategic Objectives
- Develop flexible academic programs that respond to social and technological transformations and align with labor market needs as well as national and international quality standards.
- Establish an interactive learning environment based on active learning, digital transformation, and smart technologies in teaching and assessment.
- Promote high-quality scientific research that advances sociological knowledge and addresses priority societal issues.
- Enhance students’ competencies in critical thinking, sociological analysis, field research, data analysis, and scientific reporting.
- Integrate artificial intelligence applications and big data analytics into sociological research to improve research quality and foster innovation.
