Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Assistant Professor Dr. Rayan Salem Hamed, and the organization of the Head of Dept. of Pedodontics, Orthodontics and Preventive Dentistry , Assistant Professor Dr. Zaid Burhan Al-Dewachi, and within the framework of enhancing scientific communication and sharing cognitive skills with universities and international research centers for postgraduate students and orthodontists.The College of Dentistry / University of Mosul hosted Dr. Sergio Andrés, a specialist and expert in lasers in orthodontics from Colombia, in a Webinar lecture and workshop entitled: Laser in Orthodontics.
On Friday, 9/18/2020 at 4 pm Baghdad time, on Zoom platform.During which the guest gave a valuable lecture that included an overview of the history of the use of lasers in the medical fields in general and the use of lasers in the field of orthodontics in particular. These include treating pain and speeding up the movement of teeth during the treatment period , facilitating the removal of ceramic braces and other uses that are complementary to orthodontic treatment in terms of aesthetics such as gingivoplasty, oral and lingual frenectomy operations, treatment of oral ulcers and gingival pigmentation.The lecture is considered one of a group of lectures and workshops organized by the college and the department, aimed at informing the teaching staff and the orthodontist on the latest developments in their field of work.The lecture was attended by a number of dentists in Iraq and international countries.
