Discussion of M.Sc. thesis in Prosthodontics on the effect of adding nanoscale zirconium oxides on some properties of silicon used in oral and maxillofacial prosthesis.
On Tuesday, 3/30/2021, the Department of Prosthodontic held a master’s thesis discussion entitled (The effect of adding nanocrystalline zirconium oxides on some properties of the silicone material used in maxillofacial prostheses), by Isra Ezz El-Din Hussein.
The aim of the study was to assess effect of adding zirconium oxide nanoparticles at different concentrations on some properties (tear resistance, tensile strength, stiffness, surface roughness) of the vulcanized silicone material for the face and jaws, in addition to testing the Fourier analysis of infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscope with spectroscopy analysis. Energy dispersive x-ray
The discussion committee was headed by Dr. Ammar Khaled Jamal Al-Din Al-Nouri, with the membership of each of Dr. Ahmed Asim Saeed Al-Ali, Dr. Jawad Muhammad Mikael (Hawler Medical University), Dr. Radwan Hammadi Hassan (Supervisor)
At the end of the discussion, the thesis was accepted with some modifications.
