In the College of Dentistry, MSc thesis thesis was discussed under the title:
“Effect of a bioactive bone material on osseointegration around titanium implants in rabbits”
The student, Omar Amir Muhammad, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Branch, dealt with the evaluation of the response of rabbit bones to titanium implants and the evaluation of the effect of adding biologically active bone duration as an artificial bone graft on the response of the bones around titanium implants.
The study proved that the use of biologically active bone material as an artificial bone graft around the titanium implant is beneficial for increasing bone formation around the implant because it forms a bony fusion with the surrounding bone and increases bone density and stimulates and accelerates the rate of bone formation around the implant in the early stages of bone healing.
