Oral viva of master thesis at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/ College of Dentistry

College of Dentistry discussed M.Sc. Thesis entitled “Assessment of Bone Healing Using Biphasic Calcium Phosphate Combined with Injectable Platelet Rich Fibrin (I-PRF) (An Experimental Study on Sheep)” on 11 May 2022 forwarded by Junayna Hussein Ali. The study evaluated the effect of biphasic calcium phosphate combined with injectable platelet rich fibrin on bone density of surgically made bony defects in tibia bone of sheep by radiographical and histological assessment. It was proved by the study that both biphasic calcium phosphate combined with injectable platelet rich fibrin improved and preserved the bone density (synergistic effect) along the study period.
The examination Committee was chaired by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ziyad Hazim Ahmed / Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/ College of Dentistry and with the membership of consultant Dr. Abd Alkareem Jadaan Ali /Nineveh Health Department and Assist. Prof. Dr. Abd Alhameed Natiq Ahmed/ Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/ College of Dentistry and with supervision and membership of Assist. Prof. Dr. Rayan Salim Hamid/ Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/ College of Dentistry.
The thesis was accepted after making the recommended corrections.
