College of Dentistry discussed M.Sc. Thesis entitled “Probiotic Supplementation Effects on Wound Healing of Oral Mucosa in Rabbit Model ” on 11 August 2024 forwarded by Rashad Sinan Mahmood Attar Bashi. The study investigated the beneficial role of Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG in oral wound healing in rabbits. It was proved by the study that the oral administration of probiotic Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG can fasten and enhance the quality of wound healing of oral mucosa by controlling serum cytokines and modulating the gene expression of inflammatory cytokines in both the wound site and ileal tissue.
The examination committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Maha Talal Fattah / College of Dentistry/ University of Mosul and with the membership of Assist. Prof. Dr. Rayan Salim Hamid / College of Dentistry/ University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Yaarub Jaafar Musa / College of Veterinary Medicine/ University of Mosul and with supervision and membership of Prof. Dr. Fayhaa Azhar / College of Dentistry/ University of Mosul.
