Oral viva of master thesis at the Department of Conservative Dentistry / College of Dentistry

 

College of Dentistry discussed M.Sc. Thesis entitled “Evaluation of Fracture Resistance, Surface hardness and Roughness of Monolithic Ceramic

Crowns Prepared with Different Techniques and Materials: An In Vitro Study”, on Tuesday, 29 April 2025 forwarded by Zahraa Ahmed Salman. The study evaluated the fracture resistance, surface hardness, and roughness of monolithic ceramic crowns fabricated using various materials and techniques. The study aimed to assess these properties in crowns made from lithium disilicate, nano-ceramic, and zirconia reinforced with lithium disilicate, utilizing pressing techniques, computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM), and 3D printing technologies.

The examination committee was chaired by Assist. Prof. Dr. Alaa Idrees Daoud /College of Dentistry/ University of Mosul, with membership of Assist. Prof. Dr. Najwan Fadel Shihab / College of Dentistry/ University of Mosul, Assist. Prof. Fanar Turki Abdulhameed/ College of Dentistry/ University of Mosul and with supervision and membership of Assist. Prof. Dr. Nadia Hameed Hasan/ College of Dentistry/ University of Mosul and Assist. Prof. Dr. Aws Abdulhaq Abdulmajeed /University of Virginia.

The thesis was accepted after making the recommended corrections
