College of Dentistry

With the approval of the Presidency of the University of Mosul, and in line with achieving the objectives of occupational safety and health, as well as promoting cultural awareness among personnel working in safety and firefighting, and with the aim of building capacities and enhancing their level of preparedness—alongside developing emergency and evacuation plans at workplaces affiliated with the Ministry of Industry and Minerals and its formations—the Directorate of Industrial Development and Organization / Department of Occupational Safety and Health organized an IOSH training course on the following topics:

Working Safely (IOSH – Working Safely in Arabic)

Fire Safety Awareness (IOSH – Fire Safety Awareness)

The course was held in cooperation with the State Company for Mining Industries / Al-Rumah Plant, during the period from 24–27 August 2025, at the University of Mosul / College of Dentistry, with the participation of more than 40 attendees.

The course was delivered by the internationally accredited IOSH lecturer, Eng. Dr. Mohammed Abbas Abdul-Majeed.

By hosting this course, the College of Dentistry contributes to achieving one of the key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), namely Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
