Oral viva of master thesis at the Department of Conservative Dentistry/ College of Dentistry

College of Dentistry discussed M.Sc. thesis entitled ‘‘The Impact of Citric Acid on Microhardness, Surface roughness, and Retention of Different types of Indirect
Restorations”, on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Forwarded by Farah Abdulhaq Ismail. The study investigated the effectiveness of the citric acid on the microhardness, surface roughness, and bond strength of three types of (CAD/CAM) restorative materials: lithium disilicate, resin nanoceramic, and zirconia. It was concluded by the research that citric acid reduced the surface microhardness, increased surface roughness of all tested groups and reduced tensile bond strength with resin nanoceramic group which demonstrated the greatest reduction in bond strength under citric acid exposure as compared to zirconia and lithium disilicate groups

The examination committee was chaired by Assist. Prof. Dr. Sawsan Hameed Ahmed/ College of Dentistry/ University of Mosul, with membership of Assist. Prof. Dr. Alaa Idrees Dawood/ College of Dentistry/ University of Mosul, Assist. Prof. Dr. Rasha Muzahim Mayouf/ College of Dentistry / University of Mosul, and under the supervision and membership of Assist. Prof. Dr. Maha Anwar Hussein/ College of Dentistry/ University of Mosul
